Lecture:
building bodies

Building Bodies is an artistic and educational project developed within the courses Vertiefung Kunstpraxis I and III at Kunstuniversität Linz. Starting from the body as a relational and transformable structure, the project explored physical, social, technological, and cultural constructions of corporeality. The body became a point of departure for questions of identity, vulnerability, autonomy, norms, care, and transformation.
Throughout the semester, students worked across different sites in Linz — including a disused public swimming pool, a monastery and hospital, a crematorium, a dental museum, and public commercial spaces. These encounters became starting points for individual artistic projects ranging from performance and installation to photography and research-based documentation.
