NON+ULTRA explores the idea of the boundary as a shifting threshold between the known and the unknown, the visible and the speculative. Drawing on the mythological image of the Pillars of Heracles, the project approaches limits as unstable spaces in which transitions, ruptures, and new forms of perception can emerge. The project was developed in connection with the course Vertiefung Kunstpraxis I+III (Kunstuniversität Linz) and accompanied by a publication of the same title. It combined artistic research, exhibition visits, and discussions around different interpretations of borders and boundary-making in contemporary art.
