Pflanzensupermarkt examines the botanical garden as a curated construction of nature, shaped by selection, exclusion, and consumption. Small balls could be purchased from a vending machine, each containing fragments of picked “weed” plants collected within the botanical garden. Sealed in a vacuum solution, the plants were removed from natural processes of weathering and decay. The work transforms what is usually unwanted and removed into a preserved, purchasable object — questioning how nature is selected, controlled, valued, and staged within a curatorial environment.
